Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an effective, evidence and science-based therapy that studies an individual’s behavior and the environmental factors that affect it. ABA has been proven to be the most effective therapy for Autism Spectrum Disorders. ABA Therapy uses the principles of reinforcement to increase appropriate behaviors and decrease maladaptive behaviors. The goals are tailored to an individual’s needs and teach skills that improve the client’s quality of life. Some of these skills include functional communication, social skills, independent functional living skills, play and coping skills. These skills are taught by introducing programs to provide the client with learning opportunities to reach the goals in place and are set to occur in all environments including in home, school, in center and in the community.
We provide 1:1 therapeutic intervention for our clients by offering home-based services, center-based services, and community based services or a combination of the three in Wayne, Washtenaw and Monroe county.
